Thank you, Matt - I'm enjoying those! And thank you for keeping the 'I Did That' going. I'm all good intentions... but never get around to recording myself.

Perhaps we should rename it to "I'm doing that". In other words, you've started but it's not quite finished yet.

Some more I Did That stuff. In this case I didnt do it: I was there, but I was only filming while I wasnt playing. So theres a duet ( ). More fun in the sun. Helen in particular of this group likes to throw in some slow tempos and delicacy when Im not playing the bass and lowering the tone. You will notice the empty seats in front of us! - background music - small microphone broadcasting us down the alley - anyway its all good...

I would love to hear what others are up to. You might not love to hear what Im up to. Some Scottish music on an old Roland: .

As you are into playing in groups like myself Matt you might be interested on my latest project.

Great project and great website, Pietro, and that's quite some repertoire you have together. I'll start on listening to your recordings tonight, if they're anything like that duet you had/have going, they should be well worth hearing. Why not give this it's own thread? It's fine for it to be on here, obviously, but no one's going to find it on here, well only my most devoted fans, and they tend not to be into music ;-). I think your quartet deserves a bit more prominence?

And for anyone whos still with me, I enjoyed doing these next two clips for all they are rough and ready, two klezmer tunes with accordion, trumpet, clarinet and me on bass accordion, a camera on the floor job. I think they are both old tunes, 18th century maybe, well before we got involved they were. Fraylekh ( ).

Thanks Matt, unfortunately my viola duet partner had to move away (some might say it was the only way she could get rid of me) anyway it left a space to develop other musical interests.

I enjoy your clips very much though. I like the idea of the accordion mixing with other instruments as well as playing in its own right. Now, you play a dedicated bass accordion sometimes I believe, well I am currently seeking one if you should hear of one for sale.

Pete

Isn't that always the way, you get something good started and then someone leaves the country, or converts to a new form of music, or falls out with another band member (amongst other reasons that ? I hope your new team will stay put.

Thank you, and as for the bass accordion... I know where some are, let's see if the owners want to part with them... I'll let you know.

I agree, Pietros project does look and sound great. There is a tradition of all-accordion groups (they were big in industrial parts of Germany in the 1920s and 1930s; I have an LP of a Finnish-American 1920s all-accordion group; some of my tracks on Soundcloud/Youtube are all-accordion groups) but was that what you meant? Maybe I should ask Pietro - do you see your project as unique?

Sorry Matt, it appears that I have hijacked your thread despite me starting one on the subject, perhaps I ought reply to this on my own thread?
