I believe the answers could be derived by extrapolation.

Dont think so Donn - unless you know when people voted... and how long theyd been playing when they voted.
So, for example, if you been playing 4.5 years youd now been in the next category up, but if 3 years youd still be in the same.

That may have been 80% of the members when it was launched...

It's nice to do something with a statistic:
Assuming lots of things but I'm an optimist, 40% of members have been playing for less than 2 years.
Now I find that surprising - feels like we're in the middle of an accordion revival.
Maybe it'd be worth a re-run - with lots of encouragement to vote - to confirm or dismiss the notion?

Just for consideration - this survey has been running for over 6 months, so the the replies are now outdated. Is it worth starting it afresh and asking members to poll again?

Yep, I think it would be interesting. Maybe the response is low now because people realise that its out of date?

Yes but I did say "assuming a lot" and one assumption was that all members were equally likely to vote - perhaps not justified?

Ok - may be worth a discussion to develop a good poll, muster some buy-in, make it more meaningful on an ongoing basis.

Suggestion:

When did you start learning/playing accordion?
2014; 2013; 2011/12; 2005-10; Before 2005; Way Back ........... (for some of the stalwarts on here)

That way the response doesn't go out of date? Thoughts?

And can we get it as a feature on the front page, Anyanka?

I apparently haven't got the option to start a poll... according to FAQ. Says if you haven't got a Poll Creation tab at New Topic selection you don't have the necessary permissions to start a poll. :|
