Roland fr4x

To just say "can anyone make my 4X sound better" is EXTREMELY broad. What sounds good to you may not be what I consider good.
My suggestion... the fastest and easiest way to make any 8X or 4X sound better is to reset it to factory and install the Richard Noel sets.

Once installed, you can use the information in there to see how Richard Noel does it and from there learn to make your own changes.
One I personally think I still use is Dale Mathis, but they don't sell tone sets.

They do not, one has to purchase the accordions from them. I've heard both, I prefer the Noel sets over the Mathis sounds... but thats another example of personal preference.

I played a Dale Mathis accordion one time. Sounds great! Only thing I thought the volume or gain sensitivity was much higher than what I use.
Again, it is a preference…

that person who owns a Roland from Dale Mathis could sell the set if you know him🤭

Yeah Timo, I hate to say it, but if you want the sound you hear in your head on your 4x you pretty much gotta learn the editor and tweak the sounds till you get what you want, like Jerry says. No other way around it. I bought the Mathis version but don’t feel it would be ethical to sell his sets without selling the whole accordion. They are “good enough for me” (along with a couple others I got from friends ethically). Good luck to you, there are people here who will answer your questions about the editor.
