Hello!

I have a question/request to owners of FR8x accordions: could you to connect your instrument to computer, record Expression controller changes(CC11) and send midifile to this forum?

I have FR3xb, and now attempt to understand, is it reason to change my FR3x to FR8, if I want to use instrument in most cases only as midi-controller. Main reason can be, if quality of midi transmission in FR8 is better. (Speed of midi CC transmission in FR3x is low, lower than in usual midi keyboards, see attached picture

Best regards,
Vadim

Could you explain what you are expecting and what your settings are

my settings you can see in this video (sorry for errors in my english, not fill, but feel difference, and etc.)
For now, I have firmware version 1.05 installed, but result is same.

If make same midi-record from FR8x, is expression curve smoother, then FR3x, or same?

For know this, set FR8x Bellows TX parameter to different values (especially super and hi values interested) and record to midi sequencer a bellows moving with each value setting, for comparison. Then, send this record as midifile to this forum and I will compare this with FR3 record.

Just tested - FR8xb transmits CC11(expression) such slow, as FR3x/FR7x.. no progress.. :(

May I ask why you want it faster?

Because there are audible steps of loudness in sound, if I use Roland as midi controller with external sound sources.. Especially, on pianissimo.

Although it maybe doesn't have the "resolution" of some controllers it does mean that the midi data stream is not clogged with too much data.
Do you have a sound sample where you hear this audible stepping between levels?

Yes, there is example (see attached files)

Also you can listen this audible steps in this Uwes video - between 5-6 sec, between 14-16sec etc.
