Best New Accoustic Piano Accordion

Sure, if you count individual parts like every individual screw then over 99% of an accordion consists of standard parts. But it isn't really fair to compare a screw to the pieces of wood to construct the treble and bass side and the reed blocks. The parts that are bought from suppliers may account for $10k, what is made in-house is under $1k. Labor is probably another $10k and the rest is research, know-how and marketing... all skills developed over decades.
Also demand. How much someone is willing to pay for something. Whether we like it or not, supply and demand play a bigger role than the cost of making a product. If potential customers have other options that they find comparable, then the price gets closer to the cost of making it.

How about we ask the question a different way:

What’s the best accordion under $1000 (retail price from dealer)?

Under $2000?

Under $5000?

Under $10,000?

Etc.

It seems one of the better deals is a well kept used professional level Titano. There seems to be a fair amount for sale at a reasonable price, compared to buying new. The quality is pretty good as well and in many cases better than new ones at a fraction of the price.

By the way does anyone know the approximate price of a new AM1100 Grand Concert? Has anyone here played one before?
Yes,I have. Impressions listed here in a previous post.
US price is around $12,500 (edit, closer to $13,000, sorry. The one at the museum sold for just under half of that)

Nothing wrong with Titano accordions, make sure to eat your vitamins, they are quite heavy when you start talking the higher end models with converters.

Just to clarify my post of the Titano: it is NOT ME playing, but an instructor from the Mid-West USA. However, I do play a Titano accordion that im very satisfied with

Ken’s a good guy, has his own brand produced still as far as I know, yet I know not where. Probably belongs in the “best new piano accordion” thread. More pricey than my Piatanesi but everyone I met that has one likes them. Planet.

The ones that I saw look a lot like Serenellini accordions.
